Una mujer<\/b> de 45 a\u00f1os<\/b> muri\u00f3 este lunes en Bariloche<\/b> por hantavirus<\/b><\/span> despu\u00e9s de haber desarrollado s\u00edntomas fuera del plazo habitual de seguimiento para contactos estrechos<\/b>. El dato puso el foco en el caso vinculado al de su esposo, que hab\u00eda estado internado 45 d\u00edas antes<\/b> y ya hab\u00eda recibido el alta.<\/p>\n

La paciente hab\u00eda cumplido el aislamiento preventivo de 21 d\u00edas<\/b> y el control m\u00e9dico establecido tras la internaci\u00f3n de su pareja. Seg\u00fan se inform\u00f3, los s\u00edntomas aparecieron el d\u00eda 46, cuando el per\u00edodo de incubaci\u00f3n descripto para la enfermedad var\u00eda entre cuatro y 45 d\u00edas y, por precauci\u00f3n, el monitoreo tambi\u00e9n se realiza durante 45 d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

La mujer ingres\u00f3 a la guardia el domingo con fiebre, mialgias y tos, luego de haber presentado en los d\u00edas previos un cuadro que en principio fue atribuido a una infecci\u00f3n urinaria.<\/i> Ante la sospecha de hantavirus, qued\u00f3 internada en la Unidad de Cuidados Intermedios del Hospital Ram\u00f3n Carrillo y un estudio por PCR confirm\u00f3 el diagn\u00f3stico.<\/p>\n

\u201cPese a los esfuerzos del equipo de salud de la UTI (Unidad Terapia Intensiva) y de encontrarse en asistencia respiratoria mec\u00e1nica, tras r\u00e1pido deterioro de su estado de salud se confirmo su deceso\u201d, indicaron en el parte oficial del hospital Ram\u00f3n Carrillo de Bariloche.<\/p>\n

\"El<\/p>\n

Los s\u00edntomas despu\u00e9s del per\u00edodo de seguimiento<\/h2>\n

El esposo de la paciente, tambi\u00e9n de 45 a\u00f1os, hab\u00eda sido internado a comienzos de mayo en el \u00e1rea de Cuidados Intermedios del mismo centro de salud por un cuadro de hantavirus. Su pareja y su hijo quedaron entonces aislados y bajo seguimiento m\u00e9dico.<\/p>\n

En un primer momento se sospech\u00f3 que el contagio del hombre pod\u00eda haberse producido durante un viaje al norte argentino, en Salta y Jujuy. Los an\u00e1lisis concluyeron despu\u00e9s que se trataba de la cepa Andes, caracter\u00edstica de la Patagonia y asociada no solo a la transmisi\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de heces y saliva de roedores, sino tambi\u00e9n al contagio de persona a persona.<\/p>\n

El hombre evolucion\u00f3 sin mayores complicaciones y recibi\u00f3 el alta, pero horas despu\u00e9s se confirm\u00f3 que su esposa tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda contra\u00eddo la enfermedad. <\/p>\n

\"Una<\/p>\n

La cepa Andes puede transmitirse por roedores y entre personas<\/h2>\n

La enfermedad por hantavirus es una zoonosis emergente producida por virus ARN de la familia Bunyaviridae. En seres humanos puede provocar dos formas cl\u00ednicas graves: la fiebre hemorr\u00e1gica con s\u00edndrome renal, presente en Asia y Europa, y el s\u00edndrome cardiopulmonar por hantavirus, que se registra en Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n

La transmisi\u00f3n a las personas ocurre principalmente a trav\u00e9s de roedores silvestres, que act\u00faan como reservorios naturales del virus y lo eliminan por orina, saliva y excrementos. La principal v\u00eda de contagio es la inhalaci\u00f3n de aerosoles contaminados con part\u00edculas virales presentes en esos fluidos.<\/p>\n

De acuerdo con la clasificaci\u00f3n citada en el parte sanitario, en Argentina circulan dos especies de ortohantavirus asociadas al s\u00edndrome cardiopulmonar por hantavirus: Orthohantavirus andesense y Orthohantavirus mamorense. La primera est\u00e1 representada por el virus Andes y tambi\u00e9n agrupa variantes emparentadas como Lechiguanas, Or\u00e1n y Buenos Aires; la segunda incluye al virus Laguna Negra.<\/p>\n

La transmisi\u00f3n suele producirse al ingresar en el h\u00e1bitat de los roedores: \u00e1reas silvestres, zonas suburbanas, ambientes rurales, peri-domicilios y espacios cerrados como galpones o dep\u00f3sitos infestados. Tambi\u00e9n existe evidencia de transmisi\u00f3n entre personas, por lo que las secreciones y otros fluidos humanos son considerados potencialmente peligrosos.<\/p>\n

\"Esta<\/p>\n

El contagio puede ocurrir adem\u00e1s por contacto directo de excreciones con mucosas conjuntivales, nasales o bucales, y por mordeduras de roedores infectados. En el caso de la paciente fallecida, la investigaci\u00f3n se concentr\u00f3 en esa posibilidad de transmisi\u00f3n interhumana vinculada a la cepa Andes<\/b>.<\/p>\n

El s\u00edndrome cardiopulmonar por hantavirus puede presentarse desde una forma leve con fiebre inespec\u00edfica hasta cuadros graves con insuficiencia respiratoria aguda y shock cardiog\u00e9nico. Los s\u00edntomas iniciales suelen parecerse a los de un estado gripal.<\/p>\n

Entre las manifestaciones tempranas se incluyen fiebre superior a 38 \u00b0C<\/b>, dolores musculares, escalofr\u00edos, cefalea, n\u00e1useas, v\u00f3mitos, dolor abdominal y diarrea, sin compromiso de las v\u00edas respiratorias superiores. Tambi\u00e9n se describen formas febriles indiferenciadas y presentaciones con compromiso abdominal, renal, hemorr\u00e1gico o neurol\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n

La detecci\u00f3n y la atenci\u00f3n temprana son consideradas determinantes para mejorar el pron\u00f3stico. En este caso, el deterioro de la paciente fue r\u00e1pido despu\u00e9s de la confirmaci\u00f3n diagn\u00f3stica por PCR y del traslado al \u00e1rea cr\u00edtica del hospital Ram\u00f3n Carrillo<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
