Cada 29 de septiembre<\/b>, la Argentina conmemora el D\u00eda del Inventor<\/b> en homenaje a Ladislao Jos\u00e9 Bir\u00f3<\/b>, creador del bol\u00edgrafo que en el pa\u00eds pas\u00f3 a conocerse como birome<\/b>. La fecha coincide con el nacimiento del inventor h\u00fangaro nacionalizado argentino, cuya idea cambi\u00f3 la escritura<\/span> cotidiana y dio origen a una herramienta utilizada en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

Bir\u00f3 desarroll\u00f3 el principio de su creaci\u00f3n en Europa, pero fue en Argentina<\/b> donde encontr\u00f3 las condiciones para perfeccionarla, producirla y llevarla al mercado. La palabra \u201cbirome\u201d surgi\u00f3 de la asociaci\u00f3n entre su apellido y el de Juan Jorge Meyne<\/b>, su socio en la fabricaci\u00f3n local del producto.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de su v\u00ednculo con la lapicera de tinta viscosa<\/b> y punta esf\u00e9rica<\/b>, Bir\u00f3 dej\u00f3 patentes e investigaciones en campos diversos. Por qu\u00e9 se celebra el D\u00eda del Inventor hoy, 29 de septiembre<\/h2>\n

La elecci\u00f3n de la fecha remite al nacimiento de Bir\u00f3, ocurrido el 29 de septiembre de 1899 en Budapest, entonces parte del Imperio austroh\u00fangaro. La fecha est\u00e1 asociada a su aporte m\u00e1s difundido: el desarrollo de un sistema de escritura con una peque\u00f1a esfera giratoria que distribuye tinta de secado r\u00e1pido sobre el papel.<\/p>\n

La Casa Rosada<\/b> presenta la efem\u00e9ride como un reconocimiento a su aporte y a la tarea de quienes desarrollan soluciones a partir de nuevas ideas. En el caso de Bir\u00f3, aquel principio t\u00e9cnico pas\u00f3 de la experimentaci\u00f3n a convertirse en un objeto de uso diario.<\/p>\n

El inventor lleg\u00f3 a la Argentina en 1940 junto con su hermano Gy\u00f6rgy y su socio Juan Jorge Meyne, mientras Europa atravesaba la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Pese a la situaci\u00f3n global, su esposa e hija llegar\u00edan tiempo despu\u00e9s. Aqu\u00ed continu\u00f3 el desarrollo de su creaci\u00f3n: registr\u00f3 una patente del bol\u00edgrafo en 1943 y ese mismo a\u00f1o la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Sudamericana Bir\u00f3-Meyne <\/b>comenz\u00f3 a comercializarlo bajo la marca Birome.<\/p>\n

Qui\u00e9n fue Ladislao Jos\u00e9 Bir\u00f3<\/h2>\n

Antes de consolidarse como inventor, Ladislao Jos\u00e9 Bir\u00f3<\/b> estudi\u00f3 Medicina, trabaj\u00f3 como periodista y se interes\u00f3 por disciplinas como la hipnosis. Su paso por una redacci\u00f3n result\u00f3 central para el origen de su invento m\u00e1s conocido.<\/p>\n

Mariana Bir\u00f3<\/b> hab\u00eda contado en una entrevista con Infobae <\/b><\/span>que su padre se cansaba de las manchas<\/b> y de las interrupciones que provocaba la pluma estilogr\u00e1fica. La observaci\u00f3n de las rotativas de los diarios le dio una pista: aquellas m\u00e1quinas utilizaban una tinta que se secaba con rapidez sobre el papel.<\/p>\n

\"El<\/p>\n

Bir\u00f3 busc\u00f3 trasladar ese mecanismo a un instrumento de escritura manual. El desaf\u00edo consist\u00eda en combinar una tinta m\u00e1s espesa<\/b> con una punta que pudiera distribuirla de forma continua. La soluci\u00f3n fue incorporar una peque\u00f1a bolilla en la punta de un tubo<\/b>: al rodar sobre el papel, tomaba la tinta del dep\u00f3sito y la dejaba sobre la superficie.<\/p>\n

El inventor registr\u00f3 en Hungr\u00eda una patente de su bol\u00edgrafo en 1938. M\u00e1s tarde se radic\u00f3 en Buenos Aires y continu\u00f3 el desarrollo t\u00e9cnico y comercial del producto. \u201cEl invento tiene partida de nacimiento h\u00fangara y pasaporte argentino\u201d, resumi\u00f3 Mariana Bir\u00f3 en aquella entrevista con Infobae.<\/p>\n

Aunque la birome fue su creaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s conocida, Bir\u00f3 trabaj\u00f3 en otros desarrollos. Su hija y colaboradores mencionaron, entre ellos, sistemas de transmisi\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica<\/b>, mecanismos retr\u00e1ctiles para bol\u00edgrafos<\/b>, dispositivos vinculados con el lavado de ropa<\/b> y proyectos de sustentaci\u00f3n magn\u00e9tica<\/b>. Muri\u00f3 el 24 de octubre de 1985 en Buenos Aires<\/b>, a los 86 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

La birome, el invento argentino<\/h2>\n

La birome<\/b> no fue concebida \u00edntegramente en la Argentina, ya que Bir\u00f3 hab\u00eda patentado el principio del bol\u00edgrafo antes de emigrar. Sin embargo, el pa\u00eds fue decisivo en la etapa que transform\u00f3 aquella idea en un producto fabricado y comercializado a gran escala.<\/p>\n

La empresa que formaron comercializ\u00f3 la Birome<\/b> como marca, aunque con el tiempo el t\u00e9rmino se extendi\u00f3 en el uso popular argentino para designar a casi cualquier lapicera de este tipo.<\/p>\n

\"Ladislao<\/p>\n

El producto ofrec\u00eda ventajas frente a las plumas estilogr\u00e1ficas: reduc\u00eda el riesgo de derrames<\/b>, no requer\u00eda tintero<\/b> y utilizaba una tinta que se secaba con mayor rapidez<\/b>. Esas caracter\u00edsticas despertaron el inter\u00e9s de las fuerzas a\u00e9reas brit\u00e1nicas, que necesitaban un instrumento capaz de escribir a gran altura sin las p\u00e9rdidas de tinta habituales en otros sistemas.<\/p>\n

Con el tiempo, el bol\u00edgrafo se volvi\u00f3 un objeto de uso masivo. La simplificaci\u00f3n de los procesos industriales y la fabricaci\u00f3n de modelos econ\u00f3micos ampliaron su acceso en escuelas, oficinas, comercios y hogares.<\/p>\n

Cu\u00e1ndo se celebra el D\u00eda del Inventor a nivel mundial<\/h2>\n

El D\u00eda del Inventor se conmemora en fechas diferentes seg\u00fan el pa\u00eds. En Alemania, Austria y Suiza, por ejemplo, se celebra el 9 de noviembre desde 2005.<\/p>\n

La fecha recuerda el nacimiento de Hedy Lamarr<\/b>, actriz e inventora austr\u00edaca que, junto con el compositor George Antheil<\/b>, desarroll\u00f3 un sistema de salto de frecuencia para comunicaciones inal\u00e1mbricas durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.<\/p>\n

En Estados Unidos<\/b>, en cambio, tiene lugar el 11 de febrero, fecha del nacimiento de Thomas Alva Edison<\/b>.<\/p>\n

En Am\u00e9rica Latina tambi\u00e9n hay fechas propias.
